Dave Porter (composer of Breaking Bad) visits SLC

When: Thursday Sept. 26 2pm to 3:30 pm

Where: Heimbold Donnelly Film Theatre

Come to the Heimbold Film Theatre this Thursday to see the amazing Dave Porter talk about his experience composing the score for  AMC’s hit show Breaking Bad! The show is almost over, so this is a once-in-a-trillion-years sort of experience. Porter graduated in 1994 and began his professional career working for Philip Glass’s studio in NYC. This is a must-attend event for anyone interested in working in television and film scoring!












C.A.T.S. Presents Show One at the A*Space Gallery 

When: Friday September 27 (reception 7pm to 9pm) – Saturday September 28 (1pm-6pm)

Where: A*Space Gallery The Creative Arts Thinking Space, otherwise know as C.A.T.S., is a collective of student artists and art lovers alike. This weekend they will be putting on their first show, featuring sculpture, paintings, films, music and everything in between. Definitely attend if you are a visual art student! It’s a great place to meet your fellow creative types. Really, though, EVERYONE should come.


Sarah Lawrence Zine Fair 

When: Saturday September 28 1pm to 6pm

Where: North Lawn

Stop by the North Lawn between 1 and 6 to see/purchase/distribute student zines! There will be music and PETA-provided kebabs for your enjoyment. There will also be a workshop led by Luck You Collective, and NYC-based art collective. A really great event for any creative folks (I know there are a bunch of you out there!) and especially perfect if you are considering starting your own zine and/or want to work with others who produce zines on campus.

(On Campus Editor) is a film kid and hyper-curious about the world in general. Moonlighting as a wedding videographer, she strives to one day become her own boss as a filmmaker and illustrator.
