Spring Trend Report: Saved by the Bell

I’ve been thinking about Saved by the Bell a lot lately. I don’t know if maybe I just miss seeing my childhood crush (Zack Morris) on tv in the mornings before school or something, but all of my current obsessions are loudly present on my favorite childhood show (save the hair, because honestly I don’t miss that at all). Regardless, without further ado let’s indulge in the ostentatiously loud colors and overuse of denim on denim, shall we?

Can we talk about how much I love how windbreakers look on anyone? They immediately turn an outfit into a whimsical celebration of life. You can tie them around your shoulders for the WASP look! you can tie them around your waist for a crazy throwback/tourist disaster look! Windbreakers really are magical, and I encourage you to consult the gang for instructions.

Denim shirts: Cropped, Oversized or Otherwise:

This isn’t necessarily a new development, but especially when combined with more tight fitting hipster denim thrown in with a couple of bright/patterned accessories, you can’t really go that wrong. Do it up like Zack Morris and marry me.

Triple Short Shorts/Skimpy Mantanks:

I’d like to know who took bright little short shorts away from us so I can sue them for emotional trauma. It’s almost summer, which makes me wanna play it like Slater (I wish) and run around in snazzy shorts that reach just past my mid-thigh. Add a hot-hued tank top and some crazy shades, and I see no reason why you shouldn’t be happy every time you look in the mirror.
