Are you a ridiculously self-motivated person who is forcing yourself to get EVERYTHING DONE before conference week? Are you just generally freaking out about everything, EVER?

Concepts in Sculpture

Where: Heimbold Visual Arts Center

When: TONIGHT 5pm – 7pm

Come on over to Heimbold tonight to see resident SLC sculpture students present their work! Some featured students include Anna Wahba, Shotaro de Bourbon, Shane Gillern, Emily Loughlin, SLC Speaks’ own Zoe Marquedant (!!!), Tuyen Nguyen, Maddy Rojas, Hannah Ullman-Levine and many others!!! Chill out with some talented people and learn a bit about why they do what they do…


Where: Suzanne Werner Wright Theatre

When: November 14th, 15th, 16th @ 7 pm

Joe Faragher (’14) directs a compelling interpretation of Euripides’s class “Hippolytus”: “Enraptured by Aphrodite’s fierce vengeance, Phaedra falls in love with her stepson, Hippolytus. Suffering, gore, sexuality, rage, deception, song, dance, and death follow as only Euripides could have possibly imagined.”

The show stars a group of talented SLC students, including Gerard Chamberlain, David North Friedman and Dominique Fluker, along with a beautiful score composed by Ioana Preda Buburuzan and featuring original music by Ellen Winter.

Faculty Auction

Where: Reisinger Performing Arts Center

When: Friday November 15th 4pm – 5:30pm

Have you ever dreamed of being personally escorted through the Metropolitan Museum of Art by Jerri Dodds? Or joining Marek Fuchs on a forestation adventure? You can have all this AND MORE by attending the annual Faculty Auction and bringing your wallet. Come to Reisinger (promptly! 4pm on the dot!) this Friday to bid in the auction. Faculty members participating include those mentioned above as well as Fred Strype, Colin Abernathy, Sam Abrams, Bill Schulenberger and many more! All of the proceeds will go to the Senior Gift, which will be given to help fund student scholarship and faculty support. There’s probably at least ONE prof you can pay to do your homework for you…

Men’s and Women’s Swimming

Where: Campbell Fitness Center

When: Saturday November 16th, 1pm – ?

This Saturday come relax by the pool to cheer on SLC’s own Men’s and Women’s swimming teams as they go head-to-head with Brooklyn College & Mount Saint Mary College The events start at 1pm!
