Hey guys! We have returned from glorious Thanksgiving break and it is time to GET BACK IN SHAPE! Not physically, of course, but mentally as we approach the last three weeks of the semester and the ensuing conference week(s). Do not fret! Despite the stress, there are more than enough campus events this week to keep your brain happy and healthy and maybe your body, too…

The SLC Documentary Pitch Workshop

Come to the Heimbold Screening Room (downstairs) on Tuesday morning to watch fellow SLC students present project ideas before a live audience and a pre-eminent documentary programmer and producer, Greg Rhem. Rhem is the Director of Documentary Programming at HBO (!!!) and some of his finds have been the Oscar®-winning Born Into Brothels, Murder on a Sunday Morning, Oscar®-nominated Spellbound, the critically-acclaimed They Killed Sister Dorothy, Billy the Kid, and The Smashing Machine. You will get to see students develop their pitching skills and even get a chance to ask Rhem your burning questions! Film student or not, don’t miss this rare opportunity.

The last drag show was a huge success, so this second performance will be sure to please. Let’s work it out.
