How to Get Off (Campus): Sculpture, Ceramics, and the City

You know how you’re always saying that you go into the City all the time? Well here’s your chance to do just that while providing yourself with some cultural enrichment at the same time! Wowzers!

To get you your vis. arts fix, I spoke with SLC professor/master sculptor Rico Gatson and compiled a list of gallery openings, shows and exhibitions in NYC this month. Ranging from painting to ceramics to what looks like a body in a box, these exhibits are definitely worth hopping on the Metro North for. So stop loitering outside the Pub and go see some art.

Zoe Marquedant doesn’t talk about Fight Club. She is an SLC writing student with a dinosaur watch and an over-developed sense of state pride. She can be found around campus perpetuating awkward moments and swearing like a sailor. Zoe firmly believes life is what happens in-between good cups of coffee.
