Being Sustainable at SLC: A Panel Discussion

Where: Library Pillow Room

When: Tuesday November 19th 4:45pm – 7:45pm

The SLC Sustainability Committee invites you to learn about how you can be more sustainable on campus (and back at home. The committee will be hosting Annie Novak (Director, Growing Chefs) and Chris Girgenti (Natural Areas Manager at the Randall’s Island Park Alliance) to speak on living and working sustainably on campus. There will be a Q&A afterwards so don’t miss your opportunity to show your gratitude to these sustainability advocates!

Advanced Painting Class Opening

Where: Heimbold Atrium

When: Thursday November 21st 5pm – 7pm

This week be sure to stop by the Heimbold Atrium to see great student artwork! Ursula’s Advanced Painting class will be showing, including Rahul Dhakal, Sarah Holmes, Paul Latislaw, Emma Niwa, Xorissa Ravitz, Annie Robertson, Lillian Rosner, Kaia Zimmerman, and Jonathan Worcester. Give thanks to talented and dedicated artists on campus!

Purelle Zine Release Party

Where: Blue Room

When: Thursday November 21st 9pm-1am

Jessica Butler (’14) will be celebrating the release of her zine “Purelle” in the Blue Room this Thursday night! Come check out the vibes provided by Vatican Shadow (accompanied by a “special ambient audio-visual set!”), Pete Swanson and Accuracy International. There will be free zines! Come check it out and give thanks to self-publishing and noise! Don’t forget your SLC ID or a guest pass for an off-campus friend!

 

Sarah Lawrence Men’s Basketball Homecoming

Where: Campbell Sports Center

When: Friday November 22 7:30 pm – ?

This Friday night, we give thanks to our very own Men’s Basketball Team who will be going head-to-head with the Pratt Institute to defend our honor and provide some top-notch entertainment. You’re sure to see some serious action, both on the court and in the concessions booth (I’m talkin’ cotton y’all…)

“The Virgin Cookbook”: Written & Performed by Lormarev Jones, Directed by Shayna Strype

Where: PAC Francis Cannon Theatre

When: Friday November 22nd 7pm – 9:30pm

“One Part Prude. Two Parts Sass. All Parts Female. Tired of the prodding of both friends and acquaintances, a 30 year-old virgin serves up a saucy cooking show. A solo play that explores learning to “give it up” without losing yourself in the process.” Sounds like a totally unique and totally SLC show– go sign up for your seat in the PAC lobby ASAP!

Singer – Songwriter’s Showcase

Where: Slonim Living Room

When: November 23rd Saturday 6:30 pm – 11:30 pm

Come out to the Slonim Living Room this Saturday night to show your appreciation for SLC’s Singer-Songrwriter’s Collective! This weekend you will be serenaded by Dylan Nichols (’14), who will be accompanied by her band as well as many other performers! Don’t be late!
