Beyond Bronxville: The Super Bowl

OMG sports. There is a very important episode of football tonight. You should probably watch it so you get all the Peyton Manning jokes on Tumblr tomorrow. But where to go? Good question. Here are some suggestions:

If you’re a Seahawks fan…

Carlow East
1254 Lexington Ave
8:00 am – 4:00 am

A year round home for the Hawks, Carlow East is a great place for Seattle transplants and football fans alike. Enjoy a lively crowd and “Hawkakaze” shots with every touchdown.

If you’re a Broncos fan…

Keats
842 2nd Ave
11:00 am – 4:00 am

Whether you’re a member of the Broncos fan club or just watching for the commercials, this bar is a great place to watch this year’s game (or sing a round of karaoke.)

Mustang Sally’s
324 7th Ave
12:00 pm – 4:00 am

With a bunch of TVs and everything from McSorely’s to Blue Moon on tap, it’s an easy choice if you’re in Chelsea.

If you don’t want to leave Bronxville…

The Station House
131 Parkway Road
11:30 am – 4:00 am

On most nights you’ll probably bump into a professor at this Bronxville bar, but given it’s a Sunday you’re probably safe. Order a pitcher and stake out a seat at the bar before the regulars roll in.

If you don’t want to leave campus…

Film Viewing Room
6:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Hosted by SLAC, this annual viewing party includes free food and my guess would be a limited knowledge of sports.

P.S. Go ‘Hawks.

Zoe Marquedant doesn't talk about Fight Club. She is an SLC writing student with a dinosaur watch and an over-developed sense of state pride. She can be found around campus perpetuating awkward moments and swearing like a sailor. Zoe firmly believes life is what happens in-between good cups of coffee.
